Daniel Pendzich is a Digital 3D Artist. Born in Wiesbaden, Germany,
Daniel was able to benefit from a DoDDS elementary school, middle school,
and high school education. He spent most of his childhood studying animation, lighting, and rendering through the use of 3D animation software such as the earlier versions of 3d Studio Max and Maya.
At the age of 15 Daniel was awarded 1st place for both his animation
portfolio, and his on-site computer animation challenge when he participated
in the DoDDS Annual Technology Fair his freshman year. Today, Daniel
furthers his education by studying digital art and animation at Cogswell Polytechnical
College located in Sunnyvale, California.
Although Daniel considers strumming on his guitar and playing PC games as
his favorite leisure activities, his passion for digital 3D art has mostly
been fueled by inspirational Pixar and DreamWorks films such as, "Monsters Inc." and "Kung Fu Panda".
Daniel is currently working on Michael Huber's "Project X"; a highly
anticipated animated short being produced by a chosen number of students at Cogswell College. Although Daniel's roll in "Project X" is mainly focused in lighting and rendering, he has also done animation clean-up for several scenes, and has provided character rigs for the plant life throughout the film.
